Every week on radio station 104.1 we bring in one model to be featured on the radio. The purpose of this has always been to boast ratings on air as well as the company website, because the show is broadcasted live on internet tv as well as the standard radio. Every friday is the day we bring the models in during the show the models are expected to be there at 8:00 pm. Our friday show is meant to be more like a friendly party, no one is here trying to embrass any of the models. We are a fun hang out show on Fridays as we try to kick off the weekend the right way.
AS a model i'm sure every one understands that the modeling world is crowded, so how do you seperate yourself? Well look at your career more like a music artist or actress, whenever they have something going on they use the radio and TV to promote it and themselves. This is something that most models take for granted. You can spend every day of the week on craigslist, myspace, modelmayhem etc etc trying to promote yourself or look for jobs, hours of your time and only talk to a few people. If you spend just a few minutes on radio you will be talking to thousands.
What we do for the show:
Part 1: We bring the model in conduct a interview about you, talk about your career, where you are trying to go and try to have fun doing it. There are no set questions or agendas each person is different so we try to let the conversation flow without trying to get to some hidden point.
Part 2: This is a new segment to the model interview. We want every model to be able to come in and do our news segment. Basically we pull a few stories from the net and you are the reporter. You read a few stories, we comment on what stories you just read
Any model interested in appearing on the show must be comfortable in public situations. Talking on radio makes some people really nervous and they freeze if you are not comfortable in fast paced environments please do not apply. Also each model must be comfortable in a bathing suit. The main purpose of having a model is to increase our internet traffic, our website allows people to see you live. Although it is just a web cam type of feed people will never log on to see the hot fully clothed model.
